Qualifying for Nationals
Regional Cheer Competitions. American Youth Football and Cheerleading has 8 Regions, they are the: Pacific, Desert Mountain, Mid-West, Southwest, Big-East, Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast.
Regional competitions are scheduled in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving weekend. Each region is responsible for scheduling their own regional tournament, dates therefore may vary accordingly. For more information on your regional competition check Myayf.com or email cheer@americanyouthfootball.com.
The first, second and third place teams in each division in each regional competition automatically qualify and receive a berth to play in the American Youth Cheerleading National Championship tournament. We also encourage fourth and fifth place teams to apply for a “Wild Card Berth” to experience Nationals! Wild Card Berths are also available for other circumstances. For more information please contact Elizabeth at ebray@americanyouthfootball.com

Bring it on AYC!
AYC has amped up the game and added some wonderful features that will help your team “bring it” to Nationals! AYC has implemented a music file transfer process for all teams at Nationals that will greatly reduce (or eliminate) music interruption events for both the Coaching Staff and the Athletes. This will allow usage of your team’s music for both practice and performance at the event! There will be plenty of time to see how the system works and we strongly feel that this process will lessen your “music stresses”.
As your team “takes the floor” to perform, we would like to properly recognize them by including your team logo/colors for ALL to see. This will certainly add to the excitement of the event for our athletes and the process for submission is easy!
We will be asking that all music and team color information be electronically sent by December 7th. All registered squads will be sent a list of detailed instructions. Click Here for Music Form
