Attention all coaches, administrators, parents and travel coordinators: If your team/squad does not book hotel/lodging accommodations in an AYF-approved hotel with their Team Booking Code, the team/squad will not be eligible to participate in the Under Armour American Youth Football and Cheer National Championships®.

Participants, Booking Your National Championship Hotel Rooms
American Youth Football has room blocks on hold at all of the AYF approved hotels. Enough rooms have been reserved to accommodate all our attendees, as well as their friends and families. Room blocks will be held until the last team/squad who qualifies for nationals, secures their rooms.
How to book hotel rooms for the Under Armour American Youth Football and Cheer National Championships®:
1. Qualify for AYF/AYC National Championships.
Teams/squads will only be able to register and book rooms once they have qualified for participation in the National Championships by placing in a regional championship, obtaining a wildcard from a National Commissioner or having been approved for participation in an invitational division by the National Commissioner.
2. Register your team/squad via the National Competition On-line Registration Form found on this website. (Coming Soon)
Upon completion of the on-line registration form, each team will receive a unique Team Booking Code.
3. Call an AYF/AYC-approved hotel and give the hotels booking agent your Team Booking Code to make your approved booking in the AYF/AYC room-block.
Simply booking a reservation in an AYF-approved hotel will not meet AYF's requirements and your team will not be eligible to play in the National competition (this includes mighty-mites). The Team Booking Code must be given to hotel booking staff at the time of reservation for your team to be eligible.
IMPORTANT: AYF will only issue Player Credentials based on the hotel room reservations tied to Team Booking Codes.
AYF will issue (4) four OFFICIAL PLAYER CREDENTIALS per hotel room reserved for the week of the event. (i.e. if a team books 7 hotel rooms for the event using its AYF booking number, they will receive 28 Player Credentials for his/her players/cheerleaders. Meaning only 28 kids will be allowed to participate in the National Championships.
NOTE: If a team books 8 rooms and is entitled to receive 32 player credentials, but only has 30 players on its official roster, AYF will withhold the 2 extra credentials.
ALSO: If a team books 9 rooms and is entitled to receive 36 player credentials, and that team has up to 3 extra players, that team will not be required to book an extra room, AYF will issue up to 3 player credentials to teams whose player roster is not divisible by 4.
If teams are not booked into the AYF-approved hotels with their reservations tied to their unique booking code, they will not be eligible to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Teams will not be placed in the bracket/schedule if we do not have confirmation from the hotels of your reservation per your booking code.
IMPORTANT: Reservations made for participants are guaranteed reservations and are not cancelable. They cannot be canceled and require a minimum stay. If you do not show up, your credit card will still be charged. As long as your team or squad is on the competition schedule, you will not be allowed to check out of your hotel. Once you have finished competing, the hotel will be notified and you will be able to check out. Checking out of an approved hotel prior to your elimination from the tournament will result in your team's immediate disqualification from the tournament.
As hotel room reservations can not be canceled, hotel rooms should be the last thing you book, if you are uncertain of your budget and thus ability to attend the event.
2) If you are booking a room as a family member, friend, volunteer and/or spectator and you want to stay in one of the approved AYF hotels and wish to receive the same AYF discounted pricing You MUST:
1) Call the hotel directly. The numbers are provided on the ayfchampionships.com website under the “travel and accommodations” tab.
2) Identify yourself when making the reservation as attending the AYF event.
3) Provide your information as collected by the hotel.
4) Provide whatever payment information as requested by the hotel.
Please note that this process is imperative. Due to the large number of people traveling for this event, this strict booking process is necessary to ensure that all participants, their friends and families can be accommodated by hotels in the event area. (No exceptions will be made).

Tax Exemption
To take advantage of tax exemption in the state of Florida, AYF members who have 501(c)3 status through AYF can fill out a Florida Certificate of Exemption and file with the state of Florida. Without filing this form, 501(c)3 organizations CANNOT use their tax benefits in Florida and will be subject to state taxes, ie. hotel tax. The form can be found at myayf.com.
To file for tax exemption in Florida you must include:
1. The FL exemption form (posted on MyAYF.com)
2. A copy of your determination letter from the IRS and/or the letter we issued to you that states you are a 501(c)3 under the AYF umbrella
3. A copy of the group determination letter that is available on Myayf.com.
Please note that you will only be able to use the tax-exempt certificate if you are paying with either a company check whose name matches the tax exempt certificate or with a credit card that matches the tax exempt certificate.
The state of Florida takes 30-45 days to process and return the tax exempt certificate by mail - so you will want to process this ASAP to ensure that your leagues/teams will have it in time for Nationals.

Family and friends you are not required to stay within the AYF reserved room block or at AYF's official lodging establishments; however, we invite you to enjoy the discounted rates negotiated by AYF and to be near your young athletes.
